“V. Calò” institute has been established in September 2012 and includes the artistic high school of Grottaglie, artisitc high school of Taranto, Manduria, Martina Franca and the school funded in Taranto prison. Students are about 900.
In all venues, all study course are active as defined in the reference documents of Puglia Regional Educational Office, specifically:
Grottaglie: Ceramic design, Graphics, Metal design and Jewelery, Figurative Arts, Architecture and Environment.
Taranto: Jewelery design, Figurative Arts, Architecture and Environment, Multimedia, Audiovisual.
Manduria: Figurative Arts, Architecture and Environment, Scenography.
Martina Franca: Figurative Arts, Architecture and Environment, Scenography.
Taranto Prison: Figurative Arts.
Our Team
The teachers involved in the project activities teach ceramic design, ceramic decoration, lathe, forming and forging. Moreover the staff includes teachers who participated in international project in several fields (English teachers, tutors of work-based learning activities in ceramic sector held in Valencia in 2012 and 2015).
